The float was great however, Dakota Ridge is not!!! The owner Shane is one of the worst people I have ever met!!! The people of Lesterville are great and we have never had a problem with them until we came to DR. If you want to go floating, save yourself a lot of trouble and go to Bearcat or Franklin floats.

By far the best place to camp/ float with! If your looking for a layed back carefree enjoyable get away look no further this place is it! Shane is a great guy and is very understanding and easygoing. I recommend this place to everyone! After finding this campground I’ve never went anywhere else!

Please do yourself a favor and don’t stay with these people. Arrived a half hour late to our destination on our canoe trip. My family and I were transported back via the back of a pick up truck (6 adults plus coolers) only to arrive back at Dakota ridge to find our belongings outside of our cabin and the owner with a knife in his belt yelling for us to leave. I realise it sounds like a nightmare and it was nothing less. I’m going to guess this cabin is owned by a meth enraged man/community. Please find any other place to stay if you want to enjoy your Black River trip.

Who but your things outside of the cabin and why was ( the owner?) yelling at you to leave. How long were you supposed to stay? Why do you think he was on Meth. Was he drunk? Thanks for your time to respond!

Not only is the service terrible, but so are the accommodation. 90% of the toilets available to the public have not toilet paper and are already filled with fecal matter. Then when we rented a canoe that had a hole in it. It seems like a business they just don’t care for.
