or is it even an oak? Leaves are4-8 inches and oval shaped that look like a fruit tree, but the ourside of the nut(or acorn) is big and rough with a fuzzy ring in the middle. anyone there? thanks alan mawby

What type of oak has a cover over the nut thats acorn shaped, rough,and has a fuzzy skirt around the middle. It has oval shaped leaves, 4-8 inch leaves. Any help would would be appreated. Thanks Alan Mawby

we have stayed here 3 years in a row clean nice owners right on the river kids love it, our grandson is 4 years old and he loves the river because it is so clear he can almost walk across it well worth the trip

Lacy, we do not promote the use of illegal drinks on any of Missouri’s rivers. However when we took a boat ride up the Current last week, we saw many of those plastic cups that people put their shots in floating downstream. Yes, it’s illegal, and yes, people still do it.

The float was great however, Dakota Ridge is not!!! The owner Shane is one of the worst people I have ever met!!! The people of Lesterville are great and we have never had a problem with them until we came to DR. If you want to go floating, save yourself a lot of trouble and go to Bearcat or Franklin floats.
